Workshop OhmPi

Workshop OhmPi : DIY and Take away

Low-tech instrumentation for geophysics in the spotlight!

At the beginning of April, REVERSAAL-INRAE (Rémi CLEMENT, Arnold IMIG and Nicolas FORQUET) and the OhmPi group (UMONS, Uliège, UGE and the IRD) organised the OhmPi 2025 workshop “DIY and Take Away” at Gîte la Fruitière (Le Poizat, Ain, France).

The 17 participants, working in pairs, assembled 9 OhmPi units, an open source and open hardware resistor meter. Two days of soldering, one day of assembly and one day of testing and programming was invested by each participant to deepen their understanding of how the OhmPi unit, to learn how to use it, to repair it and to develop it further. All in the spirit of open source, open hardware and low-tech instrumentation.

Congratulations to all participants for their commitment and motivation in building their open-source resistor meter! All participants and members of the OhmPi group leave with new ideas for new projects and developments around OhmPi.

See you at the next event!
