Rémi CLEMENT Laureate of the 2025 INRAE Laurels

Each year, the INRAE Lauriers award ceremony is a key moment for INRAE. It shines a spotlight on colleagues – seven women and men this year – whose commitment and talent are advancing science at the highest international level, in response to major agricultural, food and environmental challenges.

On Tuesday 2 December, Dr. Rémi CLEMENT received the INRAE Laurels Award for Innovation in Research 2025 for his work on opensource instrumentation carried out within the REVERSAAL research unit at the Lyon-Grenoble Auvergne Rhône Center and the TRANSFORM department.

Even though it is an individual award, this laurel recognizes above all the work of two remarkable groups who, for many years, have been thinking and building a different instrumentation, where the user controls his measurement chain, with national and international benefits. I would therefore like to warmly thank:

The ohmpi group (ohmpi.org), an open-source resistivity meter:

Hélène Guyard, Olivier Kaufmann, Guillaume Blanchy, Arnaud Watlet, Jacques Deparis, Arnold-Fred Imig , Nicolas Forquet and Yannick Fargier

The SETIER group (setier.fr), datalogger for the monitoring and evaluation of wastewater treatment plants: Stéphanie Prost-Boucle (Coordinator), Hélène Guyard, Fanny Courapied, Gabrielle Favreau, Sylvie Gillot, Jérémie Aubert, Arnold-Fred Imig, Sylvain Moreau, Gaël Mertz, Pascal Molle, Flora Girard and Nicolas Forquet
